Exhibition space can be expensive. Setting up to attract potential customers at a trade show requires insight into where your stand is situated, the flow of the footfall - and to some degree who else is exhibiting around you - as well as the physical dimensions of your allocation. Armed with this information the design process can graphically set out to help promote your message most effectively and therefore maximise on your time-limited opportunity

The maxim of ‘less is more’ can usually be applied to trade stand designing. The urge to really dress up your selling area is strong but can end up cluttering not only the space but also your message. Breathing room is required. Especially so in the context of a busy exhibition hall where everyone is fighting to be seen and heard. You want to stand out. But for the right reasons to attract the right customers.

I have designed show spaces from smaller shell schemes to larger, bespoke open spaces, coordinating with stand builders to meet the tight deadlines that go hand in hand with the logistics of ‘show time’. This means ensuring that the associated stresses are understood and managed by all parties and that the results can live up to client expectations. Shows are full-on, immersive experiences. Good planning is essential.
